Set in mid-century New York City and the North Pole, The Santa Switch is the magical tale of how Santa and Mrs. Claus try to retire and pass the baton to the new Santa. When the magic sleigh bells choose a young New York ad exec for the iconic position, he declines the offer, putting the North pole and the fate of Christmas in jeopardy of disappearing forever.
The Santa Switch includes the hit Christmas songs "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree," and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," as well as popular songs including "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors, and Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," among many others.

An accompanist WILL NOT be provided. Please have a backing track cued up on your smart phone.
Sides will be provided to those actors whom the director needs to see for specific roles.
NO a cappella singing.
If asked to come to callbacks, you will be asked to sing from the show and/or read additional sides with other prospective cast members.
Broadway On Main is a multi-generational program. We feel that, as part of the educational process, it is necessary for our youth to have the opportunity to share their stage experience alongside seasoned adult actors.
There is no fee to audition. If cast, there is a registration fee for youth 9-17 of $195.
There Is NO FEE for adult cast members 18+.
Please note: thanks to the generosity of our donors, financial aid is available to families of youth unable to afford our programs. No youth will be turned away due to finanancial hardship.

Female, 20s–30s
Idealistic, energetic, loyal and optimistic. An aspiring artist who came to New York searching for her place in the world. Lucy believes deeply in the goodness of others, even when that belief gets her into trouble.
Vocal range: G3–D5
Jack
Male, 20s–30s
Ambitious, charismatic and cynical. A successful advertising executive who is focused on landing his next big account. Smooth, emotionally guarded and definitely not the person anyone would expect to become the next Santa Claus.

Male
The familiar jolly and lovable Santa, but after a century of delivering presents, he has reached a turning point. He wonders whether it may finally be time to pass the reins to someone new.

Mrs. Claus
Female
Warm, intelligent and capable. After years of being the woman behind Santa, she is forced to step forward and help save Christmas. She quickly discovers that she enjoys taking charge—and is extremely good at it.

Rhubarb
Female
Santa’s upbeat, no-nonsense Head Elf. Intensely cheerful, energetic and completely devoted to Christmas. A strong comedic character role.

Christopher “Topher” Kringlemeyer
Male
Exceptionally kind, warmhearted and almost impossibly nice. Topher runs Kringlez Kidz, a children’s charity. He is slightly socially awkward, sincere and naturally embodies everything a young Santa should be.
